• Architecture Design: Design and develop architectural solutions for API gateways and web services that meet business and technical requirements.
• Security Implementation: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect APIs and web services.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure that the systems are optimized for performance and scalability.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Develop strategies for monitoring, maintaining, and improving system performance and security.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and gather feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in systems architecture, specifically involving API gateways and web services.
• Extensive experience with NoName Security (or other similar API security tool) and Akamai API Gateway technologies.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise-level web services.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree.
• Expertise in API Management: Proficient in designing, implementing, and managing API gateways, specifically using NoName Security and Akamai.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services, including their design, implementation, and security.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, and authentication mechanisms, particularly in the context of APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with developers, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects.
