JFrog is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Revenue Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sales organization, serving as the primary representative of the Revenue team in North America. You will also play a pivotal role in our month-end processes and lead initiatives related to accounting and business automation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with North America Sales leadership to provide expertise in revenue accounting for the finance organization.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes, including monthly revenue recognition and commission capitalization in compliance with ASC 606, as well as conducting monthly revenue analytics and deferred revenue account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AR, IS, Legal, Sales, and Sales Operations to offer guidance on technical accounting and policy, supporting ongoing business needs related to revenue recognition and ARR.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, partnering with other departments to streamline revenue processes and establish best practices and controls across the organization.
  • Review contracts to apply appropriate revenue recognition methods and ARR in accordance with relevant accounting literature and the company's revenue recognition policy.
  • Assist in updating the company's revenue recognition policy annually and as needed.
  • Work closely with the company's SOX team and external auditors to ensure adherence to approved revenue policies, preparing schedules and reports to support the annual audit and meet all revenue deliverables.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required, both revenue and business-related.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 7 plus years of Experience in Finance within the tech industry, particularly in revenue teams, is highly advantageous.
  • CPA qualification with Big 4 experience, preferably in the Audit or Professional departments of SaaS companies.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ASC 606.
  • Experience as a Finance Business Partner to Sales and other departments across the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, self-learn, and possess a detail-oriented approach with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Zuora is a significant plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and highly proficient in Excel.
  • Exceptional business partnering skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate cross-functionally at various levels within the company.

Additional commentary

  • At JFrog, base salary is only one component of our compensation package.
  • This position has a base salary range between $150,000 to $175,000. Base salary will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
  • This position also includes an equity package of restricted stock units (RSU). In addition, JFrog employees are eligible to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
