Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead Senior Manager in Computer Vision to lead our efforts on the Document Verification (DocV) product. This role involves driving innovative projects focused on image liveness detection, deepfake detection, injection attack detection and fraudulent document detection using advanced AI techniques. The role is split between hands-on technical work and team management, requiring a leader who can effectively balance both responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge computer vision solutions for document verification
Engage in hands-on coding, model development, and data analysis to enhance the accuracy and reliability of our DocV product.
Oversee the implementation of machine learning algorithms and computer vision techniques to improve document verification processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and other data scientists, to ensure alignment with the DocV product goals.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers and data scientists working on the DocV product, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide technical guidance and direction to the team, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet the DocV product objectives.
Oversee project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and that the team is aligned with the broader company objectives.
Facilitate regular team meetings, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision and machine learning.
7+ years of experience in computer vision, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the context of document verification or identity verification.
Proven experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++.
Extensive experience with computer vision frameworks and libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch, or similar.
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and data processing techniques relevant to document verification.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in document verification, identity verification, fraud prevention, or a related domain.
Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as AWS, or Databricks.
Experience with big distributed computing technologies such as Kubernetes.
Experience with model serving technologies such as TorchServe or ONNX.
A strong publication record or patents in the fields of computer vision or machine learning.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $200,000 - $230,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job-related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full-time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commission plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
