Key Role:

Lead assessments with a hands-on approach that has accountability for assessing and managing compliance and regulatory requirements with key stakeholders. Review technical and environmental details to assess the entire threat landscape. Work with stakeholders to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems and critical infrastructure. Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Information System Security Analyst or Information System Security Officer
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud environments
  • Experience with development and implementing strategic initiatives to improve cybersecurity hygiene cross-functionally and across business lines, resulting in process improvement and improved cybersecurity
  • Experience assessing the effectiveness of our cybersecurity controls against established standards related to the federal government and commercial industries and conducting independent security control testing and assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls to determine the overall effectiveness of security controls, based on the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Ability to assess technical environments and security control implementation using manual and automated test methods
  • Ability to provide an assessment of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies discovered in the information system and its environment of operation and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships with IT, operations, business areas, and other departments to drive a culture of security awareness and compliance
  • Ability to continuously evaluate cybersecurity controls to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and adherence to key controls and policies and drive remediation efforts through innovative security risk assessment processes, policies, and automation
  • Ability to execute functional tasks and cross-functional initiatives and work collaboratively with peers to develop and execute GRC program initiatives across multiple teams, functions, and programs
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience identifying problems, determining pragmatic solutions, identifying, and obtaining needed resources, and executing with little supervision
  • Knowledge of security controls and alignment to key regulations, such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, FedRamp, CMMC, or SOC 2 Type II
  • Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and negotiate and respond accordingly to drive closure
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive management
  • Possession of strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
