Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Administrator III is responsible for overseeing the management of the cybersecurity infrastructure, including the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced security tools.
- They will be responsible for developing and executing sophisticated monitoring and response strategies for network traffic and system logs, ensuring robust protection against security incidents.
- They spearhead the creation and implementation of security policies and procedures, conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments, and devise and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- They administer and maintain a variety of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM) systems, vulnerability scanners, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
- They implement and maintain security configurations for operating systems, applications, and network devices.
- They conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- They develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including policies, procedures, and standards.
- They participate in the incident response process, including identifying, analyzing, and containing security incidents.
- They conduct forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security incidents.
- They collaborate with other teams to recover from security incidents and implement preventative measures.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- CompTIA Security+. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- 9 years of position-specific relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, etc.).
- Experience with security hardening and configuration management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
