Job Summary

Newberry Group seeks a Cybersecurity Architecture SME with the ability to support an upcoming project within our DISA end-client.

Location:

Chambersburg, PA, Ft. Meade, MD, or Arlington, VA (to be determined at contract award)

Clearance Requirements:

Active Top Secret with SCI eligible

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with functional area expertise in National and DoD IT policy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop high level system design diagrams. Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards - such as IEEE Open Systems Environment reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application. Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (IT-related field preferred)
  • Ten (10) or more years’ relevant experience

Certification Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III certification. This will change to a DoD 8140 equivalent once a DISA 8140 policy is released.

Who we are looking for

As a Windows File Systems Security Engineer, Officer you will be a member of our highly technical production support team, who supports security for the unstructured data environment. You will be focused on the daily goal of meeting established business Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the bank's internal/external customers, through the utilization of the Enterprise monitoring and triage tools provided. Emphasis on problem resolution, root cause investigation, third level problem detection, vendor engagement, maintenance of event/outage logs and assistance with hardware and software patch/product updates.

  • Utilize expertise for security related problem solving and risk mitigation.
  • Gather and understand requirements, integrate end-to-end technology build specifications, and catalog entries that fulfill requirements across platforms.
  • Understand architecture strategies and standards from the Infrastructure Architecture team as well as vendor capabilities to ensure a successful approach to the design of a solution.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Interface with ETS Risk and Compliance to ensure that the SSAE16, SOX, etc. audit requirements are clearly factored into the Security solutions, with particular attention to monitoring and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Information Science related field or 4 years of work experience in database related position
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with NTFS security
  • Understanding of Windows File System structure
  • Experience on handling and administering permissions on Storage devices like NetApp, EMC, etc
  • Basic Microsoft Office operation
  • Ability to execute batch files and PowerShell Scripts
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills and decision making ability around complex problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
  • Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Effective listening skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Implement and maintain strong security measures to safeguard data during transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred
  • Working experience on Varonis data collectors and policies a plus

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $115,000 Annual

Job Summary:

As a Principal Cybersecurity you will be responsible for cyber security areas across products, services, infrastructure, networks, and/or applications while providing protection for AT&T, our customers and our vendors/partners. Works with senior team members on various projects relating to the protection of devices, customers, assets, data, information technology, and networks. Supports innovation, strategic planning, technical proof of concepts, testing, lab work, and various other technical program management related tasks associated with the cyber security programs. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

  • Assist the CSO Data Security team to implement solutions across all AT&T's data-centric environments, develop APIs and other software-based connectors, integrate the solution with other AT&T systems such as AMP, SNOW, ASTRA.
  • Responsible for operations of data discovery and classification technology platforms and remote scanners.
  • Create and manage API connections and rulesets, including powering key integrations between platforms.
  • Create documentation for requirements, engineering diagrams, and operational installation (runbooks) to deliver infrastructure services for projects.
  • Manage advanced configurations, and fine-tuning of various data protection technologies.
  • Support internal client engagements, assessments, technical implementations, and managed operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years working in data protection and security engineering support experience required.
  • Must have hands-on experience in docker containers, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes services administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of system security architecture and security solutions.
  • 4-5 years’ experience with DSPM platform administration; scanner deployments and building scan profiles.
  • 6-8 years’ experience as a Kubernetes administrator; knowledge of deployments and managing cloud-native applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience creating and managing API connections and rulesets, including powering key integrations between platforms.
  • Knowledge of RegEx, Perl, Python, SQL, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Java, Bash.
  • Collibra, Netskope, BigID, Microsoft Purview, Wiz, or Zscaler experience is essential.
  • Industry-standard certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, CIPP, CIPM, and CISA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security preferred.
  • Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. No relocation assistance is provided.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Data Protection technologies such as BigID, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Netskope, ZScaler, Symantec/Broadcom, Forcepoint, McAfee.

Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $141,300.00 - $237,400.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
