LPL's LEAP (LPL Early Achievement Program) is designed to nurture early career talent through a 10-week paid summer internship and full-time entry-level opportunities, aiming to cultivate the future leaders of the industry. Our University team is committed to attracting skilled individuals who will not only grow personally and professionally, but also contribute to the strategic goals of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Our interns are treated as valued team members from day one and contribute to real-world projects tailored to their interests while contributing to business unit demand
  • The possibility to get to know us as an employer and experience our working culture up close through our summer programming events, which include community engagement opportunities, wellness Initiatives, mentorship program, and more!
  • Support the Senior Analyst and other members in all aspects of the Technology Risk Assessment process including documentation, research, and reporting of cybersecurity risks
  • Perform research of process, risks, and controls as they relate to cybersecurity by working with other team members and interviewing Technology process owners
  • Produce periodic reporting of status for delivery to Technology leadership, including the Chief Information Security Officer
  • Set up and attend applicable meetings with stakeholders in the Risk Assessment process and take actionable notes
  • Help validate Cybersecurity identified risks, controls, and findings through the Risk Assessment process
  • Distribution and maintenance of program metrics

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Organization and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ambition with the ability to learn, grow and contribute to business process
  • New fresh ideas and trends
  • Collaboration with team members to achieve shared goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Management Information Systems, Cyber Defense, Computer Science, or related field
  • Students who have completed at least their sophomore year by 2025
  • Classroom experience directly related to your preferred role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written

Additional commentary

What is the summer internship schedule?

  • Full-time program for 10 weeks in the summer of 2025; Monday through Friday during day-shift for 40 hours a week
  • Semester system dates: 6/2/25 – 8/8/25
  • Quarter system dates: 6/16/25 – 8/22/25

Hourly Rate:

$25-$30 per hour

The hourly amount is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
